My Story
Caregiving had always been part of my identity. I loved to take care of others as a child and enjoyed babysitting as a young adult. After studying developmental psychology and music therapy in college, I pursued my interest in working with children as an infant nanny. I quickly realized that I had found my place in a role that utilized my skills, passion, and education. I was thrilled to find joy in my work and there was no going back.
Over the following eight years, my knowledge and experience skyrocketed. I navigated challenges that helped me learn and grow as a caregiver. Over time, I formed a community with colleagues who encouraged my professional development. I felt empowered by RIE, respectful care, and Montessori/Reggio-Emilia child-led approaches.
I often felt most needed and energized when helping families welcome a new baby and navigate big life transitions. I saw the challenges parents faced during the initial postpartum period and decided to invest in learning everything I could about newborn and postpartum care.
I began supporting families as a certified NCS, certified full spectrum doula, gentle sleep consultant, lactation educator, and eco-consultant in 2019. My specialties include 24/7 support, travel, respectful care, and establishing healthy routines. I am most passionate about educating and empowering parents to make informed decisions while fostering the parent/child bond. My warm, positive, and organized nature gives parents peace of mind that their newborn will have the best possible care in any situation.
When I’m not supporting families, I live in Seattle with my wife and dog. We love to spend time outdoors, cooking, and traveling. I enjoy participating in training opportunities, mentoring colleagues, and serving on the Board of the Northwest Association for Perinatal Support. Some of my special skills include, music (I’m classically trained), twisting balloon animals (my favorite is the pig), planning parties (I hosted themed playdates and events for my former nanny families), baton twirling (I used to compete), organizing travel (I have single-handedly planned travel to 15 countries without a hitch), and always being on time (it’s an art form).
